This Cookie Policy explains how Salomons & Partners GmbH (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on salomonspartners.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Notice, which explains how we process personal data more broadly.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. Cookies allow the site to remember information about your visit — for example, your language preference or whether you have agreed to analytics. Similar technologies include local storage and pixel tags, which serve comparable purposes.
Cookies can be first-party (set by the site you are visiting) or third-party (set by another service the site uses). They can be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (stored for a defined period).
2. Categories of cookies we use
We use only two categories of cookies. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or social-media tracking cookies.
2.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are essential for the site to function and to remember your consent choices. They are set automatically when you use the site and do not require your consent.

2.2 Analytics
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. They are set only if you consent through the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 3).

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited, with data processing by Google LLC in the United States. We have configured Google Analytics to:
- Anonymise IP addresses before they reach Google
- Disable Google Signals (no cross-device or advertising data)
- Disable ads personalisation
- Retain analytics data for 14 months (Google’s shortest configurable period)
Before you consent. The Google Analytics script loads on every page, but until you accept it runs in a restricted mode (“consent mode”) in which no cookies are set and you are not identified. A limited signal — page address, referring page, approximate location from your IP address, and basic browser information — is still sent to Google and used only for aggregate statistics. Declining keeps that restricted mode in place. Section 5 of our Privacy Notice describes this in full.
We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for the transfer of data to the United States. See section 6 of our Privacy Notice for details.
3. Managing your preferences
When you first visit salomonspartners.com, a cookie banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. You can:
- Accept — analytics cookies are set
- Decline — only strictly necessary cookies are set
- Cookie settings — choose per category
You can change your choice at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page.
You can also manage cookies through your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, or notify you when a site tries to set one. Instructions for common browsers:
Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working correctly.
4. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no consistent industry standard for how sites should respond to this signal, so we do not currently act on it. If you do not want to be tracked by analytics, use the cookie banner or your browser’s cookie controls.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add or remove a service that uses cookies. The current version is always available at salomonspartners.com/cookies. The date at the top reflects when it was last updated.
