PRIVACY POLICY

General information

This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. When you share information with us, it is in general to be considered for a position that we are recruiting for today, or to establish a relationship with us for the future. We understand that this information is private and confidential and treat it as such. Below you will find an explanation of the information we collect and how we treat it

Why we collect information about you

Our purpose is to help our clients to overcome business challenges by hiring the right people and to help executives reach their full potential. We therefore engage with candidates like yourself through networking, referrals and social media to see if a career opportunity might be of interest. During this process we collect information about you to assess your fit for the career opportunity we are discussing.

The kind of information we collect

We only collect information that is relevant for the recruitment process like for instance: your name, address, e-mail, telephone, current and past employers and roles, nationality, gender, CV, compensation information and other information you share with us. In addition to the information you share with us, we also use publicly accessible sources.

What we do with your information

The information you share with us is treated confidentially and is only for recruitment purposes. Your information is reviewed by one of our consultants, we do not use automatic processing of CVs. We share the relevant information with our clients and partners who use it to assess your fit for a role they are looking to fill.

The information we store in our systems

We store the information you have provided to us over the course of a recruitment process so that we can reach you more quickly in case a new career opportunity presents itself, and so that you don’t have to repeat the same information twice.

How long do you keep my information

In our experience, people don’t change employers very often. Having a longer-term relationship is therefore in the interest of both of us. We therefore hold on to the information until you tell us to erase it (see below). We automatically delete your CV after 3 years, without notification, since we consider the information outdated after such a long time.

Where your information is stored

We maintain secure information storage facilities in the Netherlands and Switzerland.

Who has access to your information

Your information can be accessed by our employees and a small number of IT suppliers and contractors we use. The employees, suppliers and contractors are contractually bound to non-disclosure and confidentiality.

How to have your information erased

You can request to have your information erased via this webpage. It usually takes a working week to have all your information erased. You will get an e-mail once this has happened. Once your information has been erased, it is possible that you might be contacted for a career opportunity in the future through social media or referrals, since we have no trace that we were in contact before.

Who are the partners you referred to

We work together with the SpenglerFox network of search firms. Through our network partners we can connect you with career opportunities in other continents. SpenglerFox’ information storage facilities are different from ours and they have their own data protection policies which also comply with GDPR. When we share information with them, it is to highlight you as a potential candidate for a role, which expands your chances of finding an attractive new career opportunity. They will in turn contact you and discuss the opportunity with you.

What if you want to make a spontaneous application

Feel free to upload your information via this web page. We do not use automated processing of CVs; your information is reviewed by one of our consultants and who will get back to you with feedback about how well your profile fits with the needs of the clients we serve.

Policy changes

The data protection area is moving fast and the new GDPR legislation has only just been implemented. As we all become familiar with this new landscape, we will adjust our policies to stay in step with the latest developments. Changes to this policy can be made without notice.
